Post-Chinese New Year Celebration
Chinese Lunar New Year parade in New York City has been going on for 20 years and this year marks the conclusion of the Chinese zodiac’s 12 year cycle. This year lunar year landed on February 5, 2019 and began its first day with a parade. Following towards the end of the parade, people continue to celebrate by shooting confetti into the air all throughout Mott Street. With open streets to walk in and with many still selling, the celebration hasn’t stopped.
